Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go! If you wish to permanently delete your Urban Ride account and all associated data, please review the information below before submitting your request.
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including ride history, payment information, and preferences will be permanently deleted.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
When you request account deletion, the following will occur:
- Immediate Access Removal: You will lose access to your Urban Ride account and app immediately
- Data Deletion: All personal information including your profile, preferences, and settings will be permanently deleted
- Ride History: Your complete ride history and booking records will be removed
- Payment Information: All saved payment methods and transaction history will be deleted
- Communications: You will stop receiving all emails, notifications, and updates from Urban Ride
- Active Bookings: Any active or upcoming ride bookings will be cancelled
Data Retention for Legal Purposes
Please note that certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or security purposes:
- Financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations
- Anonymized data for analytics and service improvement purposes
- Data required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
- Information necessary to prevent fraud and enhance platform security
Before You Delete Your Account
Please ensure you have:
- ✓ Cancelled all active and upcoming ride bookings
- ✓ Settled any pending payments or refunds
- ✓ Downloaded any important data or receipts you may need for future reference
- ✓ Understood that this action is irreversible and cannot be undone
How to Submit Your Request
To request account deletion, please choose one of the following methods:
Method 1: Through the Mobile App
- Open the Urban Ride mobile app
- Go to Settings → Account Settings
- Scroll down and tap on "Delete Account"
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to our support team with the following information:
To: support@urbanride.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include in your email:
- Your full name as registered on the account
- Registered email address
- Registered phone number
- Reason for account deletion (optional)
- Confirmation that you understand this action is permanent
Method 3: In-App Support
- Open the Urban Ride app
- Go to Help & Support
- Start a chat with our support team
- Request account deletion and provide verification details
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are typically processed within:
- Immediate: Access to your account will be disabled immediately upon request confirmation
- 30 days: Complete deletion of all personal data from our active systems
- 90 days: Removal from backup systems and complete data purge
You will receive a confirmation email once your account deletion request has been successfully processed.

If you're not ready for permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Temporary Deactivation: Take a break without losing your data. You can reactivate anytime
- Update Privacy Settings: Control what information is shared and visible to others
- Unsubscribe from Emails: Stop receiving promotional emails while keeping your account active
- Contact Support: Discuss any issues or concerns before making a final decision
